Sailin' on a Prayer

Rescued the Captain

Jeremy regained consciousness and the crew asked him where the Skum and gillmen would likely take them. Jeremy did not know, but Vincent knew that Skum like living in damp underground places which resulted in Jeremy showing the crew the way to the sewers. Unfortunately for Jeremy he was impaled with a trident on the way to the sewers.

The crew made it into the sewers and stumbled across a cavern connected to the sewers with 3 passage ways. In the left passage way they found their Captain ties up naked to a wall with 2 gillmen and a skum in the vicinity. Cutty Flam crushed one of the gillmens heads in before pinning the other one down leaving the rest of the crew to deal with the Skum. The Gillman who was pinned down was briefly left alive for questioning.

The crew learnt that they took the Captain because he was a noble from Taldor. In the other hallways the crew found a pile of maps of every major city of the inner sea region, however these maps showed underground caverns an passageways. The map of Riddleport was taken to Elias Tammerhawk to try and get some money out of it.

One after one after one.
after one after one

After sleeping and reconvening at the ship the crew is approached by Elias and is asked to meet with Jeremy at the Maiden Troll. While waiting for Jeremy the crew happened to stop a robbery that was taking place by wanted criminals, killing Ringo and successfully capturing Yolanda.

The crew waited half a day before giving up and decided to head back to the ship. On the way back to the ship the crew stumbled across a floating body of an unconscious Jeremy. Who spoke of being attacked by a Skum. The crew did not ask any more questions and went out searching for the Skum. After gathering information Cutty Flam set out all the sightings on a map and determined the next attack/sighting would occur at the Gold Goblin casino. Once at the casino Lynal learnt from the bouncer where the Skum was last sighted.

The crew headed for that location and found themselves in a fight with a Gillman riding on a Hippocampus. The two were killed and the hippocampus brought back to the ship for a feast. During the feast the crew were attacked by the Skum accompanied by several gillmen. The Skum tackled the Captain overboard resulting in Lynal getting knocked unconscious in an effort to rescue him. The crew mopped up the gillmen with no loss of life.

The Platinum Ornament.

The crew of the Winged Lion were offered protection from the pirates of Riddleport by one of Gaston Cromarcky’s underlings, Hugo Cussler. They could not afford to pay the hefty price and instead were offered to obtain a stolen ornament of great importance.

The crew headed off towards The Dark Cave where they were told the item should be found, fighting off a goblin raiding ship along the way. The entrance of the Dark Cave was guarded by 3 merfolk who were bluffed into letting the crew pass before they heard the noise of a predator at the entrance of the cave and they fled into the water.

A water elemental was blown out of what seemed to be a pool of water in the centre of the cavern by a bomb thrown by the Shipwright in Cutty Flam. The end of the cave had a raised section with what looked like a blue goblin with wings. This beast was trouble for the crew as the room filled with toxic gas. The shipwright was knocked unconscious and defeating the beast was left up to the rest of the crew. The ornament was rigged to a trap and taking the item resulted in a boulder falling and chased them out of the cave, crushing all the merfolk in the process.

On the journey back to Riddleport a stray octopus mysteriously found it’s way aboard the ship and attacked Lynal. The octopus was quickly put down by the captain. Once back in Riddleport instead of taking the ornament back to Hugo the crew learnt that Elias Tammerhawk was interested in acquiring the ornament. Elias had a much better offer than Hugo so the party took his offer or 2000 gold, and the Riddleport flag which was a different colour.
